* iPhone X - 10nm A11 chip, 6-core, 3GB RAM
* Galaxy Note 8 - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset (4x 2.35GHz and 4x 1.9GHz Kryo CPUs), Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB RAM
* Galaxy S8/Plus - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset (4x 2.35GHz and 4x 1.9GHz Kryo CPUs), Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB RAM

In iPhone vs Galaxy Note 8 vs Galaxy S8 comparison, iPhone X has the smallest RAM: 3GB vs 6GB vs 4GB. But still, iPhone X may be the most powerful smartphone. 4. Face ID vs Fingerprint Sensor

* iPhone X - 3D facial recognition technologies
* Galaxy Note 8 - rear-facing and off-center fingerprint scanners
* Galaxy S8/Plus - rear-facing fingerprint scanners

In this round of Samsung Galaxy S8 vs Galaxy Note 8 vs iPhone X comparison, Apple is an easy winner. As mentioned above, the camera in iPhone X has a 3D scanning ability used to include an all-new "Face ID" feature instead of the Touch ID. The face recognition will be quicker, more secure, and more accurate than Touch ID. It's also easy to set up Face ID on iPhone X with just one look.

There is also face recognition in Note 8, but it's not so fantastic in Galaxy Note 8 vs iPhone X. Both Galaxy Note 8 and S8/Plus has fingerprint scanners, but located in weird awkwardly. The rear scanner on the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and S8+ is tough to use consistently, while the off-central is still too far.

* iPhone X - improved Siri
* Galaxy Note 8/Galaxy S8/Plus - new Bixby

Samsung has its own AI-based digital voice assistant Bixby that comes built into the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 to compete with iPhone X' Siri. Siri has learned over time, and in iPhone X, there is a smarter Siri with improvements like a more natural voice, a new visual interface, its own button, translating ability etc. Samsung may lose this round of iPhone X vs Galaxy Note 8 vs Galaxy S8 comparison.

Bixby is promising, and it does things that Siri can't, particularly when it comes to controlling the phone. But it's inconsistently implemented and not as quick as Siri or Google Assistant.

But if you want to choose a phone that will last longer, you should also consider the enormous 6.3-inch 2,960 x 1,440 display in Galaxy Note 8, which will need a lot of battery to handle.
