Four Tips to Improve Editing Efficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro

Being the professional video editing software for film, TV, and the web, Adobe Premiere Pro helps users trim, adjust, alter videos pleasantly. But have you ever considered whether there are some secret tricks that you have no idea about to make the editing more efficient?

In the following paragraphs, we will tell you the four tips to enhance the efficiency of editing with Premiere Pro!

1. Batch Process

a. Add same effect to the same contents scattered on the time line
For example, a certain segment of the same material has been mixed with a certain color which should also be exactly applied to other segments on the time line.

Step 1. Select the accomplished segment, find the color of the segment and press Ctrl + C.
Step 2. Head over to the main page of the material and press Ctrl + V. Then the same material on the time line will be matched with the same color.

b. Add effect of certain material contents on others
Step 1. Select a source material fragment and press Ctrl + C
Step 2. Select all the target fragments and press Ctrl + Alt + V to enable super replication.
Step 3. Select the effect you intend to replicate.

c. Batch deletion of the effect on multiple fragments
Just select the fragments and right-click remove attribute to select the effects that you want to remove.

2. Simultaneous Processing of Multiple Audio Tracks

a. Add same effects to the multiple audios on the same track
For example, to denoise a video:

Step 1. Enter Audio track mixer (PR mixer panel) and click the triangle icon on the upper left to enter the effects interface.
Step 2. Select a certain track to launch separate mode
Step 3. Click the track to add a certain effect. Then the audio on the whole track will have the same effect.

b. Simultaneous processing of audios on multiple tracks
Step 1. Enter Audio track mixer and enter the effects interface.
Step 2. Right-click and select create mono submix then an additional track submix1 will turn up.
Step 3. Output other tracks to submix1, and the effects added on submix1 will be applied to other tracks.

3. Simultaneous Rendering of Same Content for Multiple Output Formats

This method is applicable to the condition where the same content needs to be turned into different formats for the distribution on multiple platforms to reduce greatly the time of rendering.

Step 1. Click file, output media and select queue.
Step 2. Start rendering on a file after setup.
Step 3. Click the rendered file and then double-click any preinstall on lower left.
Step 4. Set up another format after the sequence turns up. Multiple preinstalls are allowed to be added for rendering of multiple formats.
Step 5. Click start rendering to carry on simultaneous rendering on these formats.

4. Quick Addition of Material to Time Line.

This method is applicable to the condition where the same fragment needs to be inserted for loop actions, such as Otokeimaado Videos.

Step 1. Select a certain fragment, locate input point and output point and insert shortcut key "," to the time line.
Step 2. Make adjustment of the input point and output point. Then the loop actions will be accomplished.
