# Method 1: Using Safari Browser

Step 2: Type in downloadpangu.org, or yalujailbreak.org or other iOS 17 jailbreak download sites.
Step 3: When the iOS 17 jailbreaking page you are visiting is loaded successfully, tap the UP arrow.
Step 4: Find the Add to Home Screen on the popping up window and tap it.
Step 5: Type in Pangu or Yalu or other names of iOS 17 jailbreak tools you are using and click Add. Now the new iOS 17 jailbreak tool icon should appear on the home page.

# Method 2: Using Yalu iOS 17 Jailbreak App

iPad Pro, new iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4, iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 2 running iOS 17 or higher.

What you'll need
A Mac or PC, the latest version of iTunes or other backup apps for iPhone iPad, a valid Apple ID, Cydia Impactor IPA Installer as you cannot directly install Yalu on iOS 17 iPhone iPad.

Note: Yalu says it's a new iOS 17 jailbreak, so you may encounter unexpected problems on your jailbroken iOS 17 based device.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 to computer.
Step 2: Go to Settings > Touch ID & Password and disable your passcode and Touch ID.
Step 3: Go to Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone, iPad and disable Find my iPhone, iPad.
Step 4: Download Yalu IPA file and Cydia Impactor to computer and open it.
Step 5: Directly drag the Yalu IPA file to Cydia Impactor.
Step 6: Input your Apple ID Password and username on the pop up window.
Step 7: When the iOS 17 jailbreak installation is finished, disconnect your iPhone or iPad.
Step 8: Go to Settings > General > Profile & Device Management and find the Yalu certificate, click Trust it.
Step 9: You should see the iOS 17 jailbreak named mach_portal on the home screen. Launch it.
Step 10: Wait for a while and the Cydia app will appear on the home screen.

It's a semi untethered iOS 17 jailbreak. If your iPhone or iPad is rebooted, you have to repeat step 9 and step 10.

Common iOS 17 Jailbreak Problems & Fixes

Step 2: Go back to the Home screen on your device, launch Yalu iOS 17 jailbreak app, press volume up after hiting GO. Don't let go until you get back to the lock screen, and then uninstall the tweak to see if boot loop issue is solved or not.
Step 3: If it doesn't work, try to restore your iPhone or iPad. But remember to backup iPhone or iPad before you do so.
